Fatih spuds Turkey well

Turkish state player TPAO's ultra-deepwater Fatih drillship has spudded the Alanya-1 exploration well in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea. Drilling is scheduled to last 150 days, said TPAO, with Schlumberger hired for drilling operations. Schlumberger will coordinate multiple product lines, as well as provide project management services on the Fatih (formerly the Deepsea Metro II), which was acquired last year by TPAO.
