Four-dimensional cardiac computed tomography in mitral valve endocarditis obstructing the left ventricle outflow tract.

An 80-year-old woman with a vegetation on the mitral valve underwent electrocardiograph (ECG)-gated computed tomography angiography (CTA) to rule out coronary stenosis prior to cardiac surgery. No coronary stenosis was found at CTA, which showed a mass on the anterior mitral valve leaflet (Fig. 1, movie 1). Vegetation and entire mitral valve were surgically removed (Fig. 2).
