Malaysia’s Sapura Energy has won five new contracts worth a total of US $315m(1.3 Bn ringgit).Drilling subsidiary Sapura Drilling Asia landed two new contracts.The first one is with ExxonMobil to provide its tender assist drilling rig Sapura T-9 over three years on the Tabu field offshore Malaysia.Sapura Drilling also bagged a contract extension from Malaysia’s state player Petronas Carigali to provide semi-tender assisted drilling rig Sapura Berani.The contract includes the drilling of nine wells on the Sumandak,Erb West and Dulang facilities offshore Sabah(East Malaysia)and Peninsular Malaysia.
