Aussie Dorado-3 drilling ahead

Santos is making progress with the Dorado-3 well, its second appraisal well on the Dorado oil and gas field in WA-437-P offshore Australia. Santos said it spudded the Dorado-3 well at the end of July using the Noble Tom Prosser jack-up rig. The 12.25-inch hole was drilled down to a depth of around 3,878m (12,724ft) Measured Depth (MD) and the rig is preparing operations in order to set and cement the 9.625-inch liner, said partner Carnarvon Petroleum.
