Oil prices posted mild gains on Wednesday after an early-session rally failed to hold onto ground north of technical resistance points. In London, Brent crude for January delivery settled 19c higher at $43.80 per barrel. In New York, December West Texas Intermediate (WTI) on Nymex closed up 9c at $41.45/bbl, while the January contract ended the session with a 7c gain at $41.74/bbl.
