Eni Sees New Energy Unit at Scale Within 10 Years

Eni CEO Claudio Descalzi says the company’s new Energy Evolution division should achieve meaningful scale in less than 10 years time, but will remain smaller than its new Natural Resources division. The Italian major announced plans in June to reorganize itself into two main divisions, with Natural Resources taking over its upstream oil, gas and LNG operations and Energy Evolution taking over its power business and gradually transitioning its downstream oil business to products such as biofuels and hydrogen (IOD Jun.5’20).
