Iran’s crude exports are estimated to have hit new lows of less than 200,000 barrels per day in April as a result of US sanctions and the collapse of Chinese oil demand. Syria continues to offer limited relief, with Tehran assumed to be supplying oil on credit. A senior Iranian oil industry source confirmed the trend, saying shipments to Syria had risen lately and those to China had fallen. But he indicated that Iran’s overall exports were lower in April than in March.
