Transocean Takes Greenpeace to Court

Greenpeace UK said on Monday that Transocean is taking climate campaigners to court six months after they tried to stop the rig operator drilling a new oil well for BP at the North Sea Vorlich field. A preliminary hearing will take place in the Court of Session in Edinburgh on Tuesday over the alleged breach of an interim injunction obtained in June to keep activists away from Transocean’s Paul B Loyd Jr. semisubmersible unit (IOD Jun.11’19).
