PTTEP Sticks to Strategy Despite Lower Profit

Thailand’s PTTEP is forging ahead with its new strategy to enhance the company’s competitive advantage and maintain growth despite a small year-to-year decrease in profits. PTTEP posted net income of $394 million for the first quarter of 2019, down from $423 million a year ago, which the company attributed to the appreciation of the Thai baht against the US dollar.
