Oil prices continued slowly drifting down last week, with a recent focus on US-Chinese trade wars. At the same time, time spreads signal the market is very tight, as the premium of ICE Brent to its six-month contract extended to $3.17 by the end of the session. Oil prices get “discovered” on the exchanges by money managers and banks, but in theory the spreads are more determined by physical traders.
