India industries hopeful of new gov’t measures to rev up economy

MUMBAI (ICIS)--India’s industries hope the government’s recent measures, as well as those that will be introduced in the next budget, would help arrest the slowdown in Asia’s second biggest emerging economy. Indian finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the annual budget for 2020-21 on 1 February, as the economy is set to mark its slowest growth rate in 11 years in the current fiscal year ending March 2020 at 5%.
