Tehran stokes tensions with US collusion gibe

Iranian oil minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh has accused “some Opec member states” of working with the US to raise oil prices. The comments threaten to stoke tensions ahead of a meeting of Opec and non-Opec oil ministers in Vienna next month. Zanganeh hit out at the US decision on 8 May to unilaterally pull out of the Iran nuclear deal and reimpose sanctions on the country. And he was critical of comments by Saudi energy ministry officials indicating that Riyadh is willing to work with other producers to help offset any crude supply shortfalls that could arise from the move.
