摘要

A β-type Ti-29Nb-13Ta-4.6Zr (TNTZ) exhibits a good biocompatibility. On the other hand, severe plastic deformation (SPD) is known as a well-proved technique for the improvement in mechanical properties due to grain refinement and large strain. High-pressure torsion (HPT) processing is one of the SPD techniques. The effect of the HPT processing on the microstructure and the mechanical properties of TNTZ were investigated systematically in this study.
