A complete account on the optimized critical parameters in the synthesis condition of crystalline carbon nanotubes (CNTs) based on chemical vapor disposition (CVD) is presented. The degree of crystallinity in the synthesized carbon nanotubes was studied to investigate the correlation of the effective parameters involved with the structural improvements of CNTs. Camphor oil, which is readily obtained from renewable feedstock, is an ideal "green" biosource for the production of CNTs. Raman spectroscopy has been used to explain the defects of graphitic sheets in the growth of CNTs. The growth rate, which was calculated using the distribution length of the tubes, suggesting active catalyst, which controls the uniformity and alignment of the CNTs. The results indicate that the crystalline graphitic sheets increase progressively in the highest concentration of catalyst, while dens of carbon nanotubes is directly influenced by the ratio of catalyst to the precursor. Furthermore, a higher degree of crystalline perfection can be achieved in a naturalized cooling method, followed by high annealing temperature for developing the graphitic domains, which still continues in the annealing process.
