Eu~(2+)-doped SrAl_(2-x)Si_(2+x)O_(8-x)N_x oxynitride with feldspar structure was prepared using solid state reaction (x = 0-1.0). The phase present, lattice parameter and luminescence properties of the as-prepared phosphors were investigated. The oxynitride samples showed a blue emission shifting from 415 to 453 nm with an increasing x value, having a shoulder peak at 467 nm. The maximum emission intensity was about 2 mol% Eu with a small concentration quenching.
