According to the EIA, the national average retail price for regular gasoline was $2.202/gal on Sept. 12, a 2.1c/gal decline from the Sept. 9 price and marking the second straight drop, while RFG's national average was $2.336/gal, a 0.3c/gal uptick on the week. Houston, Texas' $1.941/gal was the lowest price for both regular gasoline and RFG, while San Francisco, California's $2.816/gal was the highest for both grades.
