Japan’s steel industry consumed a total of 757,000 tons of ferrous scrap to feed basic oxygen converters inDecember 2015, up 7,000 tons or 0.9% from a month ago, indicating an increase for three consecutive months, when thetotal consumption stood at a high level for the first time in 11 months since January 2015, according to a survey by theJapan Ferrous Raw Materials Association.
