Domestic price of ferro-silicon in China has fallen from the end of last week. The high price of CNY8,900 per ton has been rectified and revised to a level of CNY8,700 per ton by a reduction of CNY200 per ton. The price of Chinese ferro-silicon for export has fallen from the high level of 1,900 US dollars per metric ton CIF Japan to 1,800 - 1,850 US dollars CIF. The total quantity of ferro-alloys produced in China in October of 2010 did not decrease, on the contrary to an anticipation, but had increased by 7.5% compared to that in the previous month of September and this aspect has loosened a feeling of the tension.
