RPS receives CPP assets as college is dissolved

THE College of Pharmacy Practice handed its assets to the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Faculty Board at a ceremony this week, before the CPP was formally dissolved. Chief executive of the CPP Ian Simpson, who led the event, said that the objects he gave to the Society served as "tangible evidence of the legacy" of the college. The RPS received an engraved glass ornament worth ￡4,000, the chairman's chain, the CPP coat of arms and seal and a deed of gift, which included ￡1,500 and shares. Mr Simpson explained that the motto on the coat of arms — semper ad praestantia — translates to "always towards excellence", which he suggested may be a fitting inheritance for the RPS Faculty.
