摘要

PARENTS in London are the least likely in the UK to report side effects from medicines that their children take to a pharmacist or GP, but are the most likely to use the official yellow card reporting system instead, research published this week by the UK medicines regulator suggests. Just 69 per cent of London parents said they would report a side effect to their GP and 39 per cent said they would tell their pharmacist, the survey by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency found. The figures contrast with a high of 88 per cent of parents in Wales who said they would tell their GP and 59 per cent who would tell their pharmacist. However, 14 per cent of London parents said they would use the MHRA's yellow card scheme to report a side effect compared with a UK average of 9 per Cent.N*
