A ONE-MONTH suspension from the Register has been handed by the Fitness-to-Practise Committee of the General Pharmaceutical Council to a pharmacist who drove while disqualified. Faraz Khan (registration number 2030996) appeared before the committee on 14 October 2011. Information had been received that on 14 April 2009 he had been convicted at Cambridge magistrates' court of driving while disqualified. For that he had received a community order to carry out unpaid work for 120 hours and had had his driver's licence endorsed with six penalty points. He was also ordered to pay £60 costs. Furthermore, contrary to the GPhC's rules, Mr Khan had not informed the Registrar of his conviction.
