Pharmacists call for meeting with PM to discuss reforms

PHARMACISTS are pushing for an exclusive meeting with Prime Minister David Cameron and his team of health advisers to discuss the role pharmacy can play in a reformed NHS. Ash Soni, the pharmacist member of the NHS Future Forum, told The Journal this week; "I am going to contact Number 10's senior health adviser Paul Bate to push for a separate meeting for pharmacy, as we need to get pharmacy engaged on a political level." Mr Soni said that if a meeting is scheduled he will invite representatives from across pharmacy, including the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, to attend.
