Clinical developments in 2010: a review

News of successful pharmacy services started off 2010: pharmacies involved in the Hepatitis C Trust pilot project to detect hepatitis B and C were able to find a positive patient in every six tested (PJ, 16 January 2010, p35). A few months later, a hepatitis detection project run by NHS Isle of Wight won the annual Chief Medical Officer for England's public health awards (PJ, 22 May 2010, p495). Following these successes, a national roll-out of viral hepatitis pharmacy testing began (PJ, 29 May 2010, p526).
