Up to ￡55m per year for the next two years is to be made available for pharmacy to deliver a new medicine service, NHS Employers and the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee have announced. The new medicine service will be an advanced service within the community pharmacy contractual framework, and is intended to help improve medicines adherence among people with long-term conditions who have been prescribed a new medicine.
