Renal impairment warning

British National Formulary 59 March 2010 claims that it puts recommendations for renal impairment in the prescribing notes and any advice that is unique to a particular drug in that class is included in its individual monograph.However, on examining generic monographs in the BNF (eg, co-codamol 30/500 effervescent tablets), it fails to use the cautionary phrase "avoid in renal impairment", which is included in the branded monographs of Solpadol and Tylex.
