PRLOG should support proposal

I would like to add my voice to those colleagues who have expressed concern that,under the new arrangements for the General Pharmaceutical Council,non-practising pharmacists such as myself,will no longer be able to call themselves pharmacists.Like Michael D.Moore(PJ,31 January 2009,p106),I do not take kindly to being prohibited from calling myself a pharmacist after over 58 years in the profession.In his letter,Tony Cartwright(PJ,24 January 2009,p72)sets out a simple and practical solution to the problem.That is,for the GPhC(like the General Medical Council)to distinguish between registration with the regulatory body and a licence to practise.
