The "Responsible pharmacist toolkit" (PJ, 2 May 2009, p519) is interesting and useful but ultimately pointless and depressing. Who on earth devised this nonsense of "responsibility" and could anyone reasonably and rationally justify how glorified clocking in and out establishes improved patient care? Are we not supposed to look after patients, or are they a distraction from the more pressing task of filling out time sheets?
