Scotland's MAS not intended for all patients

Scotland's minor ailment service (MAS) was never intended to be available for the entire population, the Scottish Government con-firmed this week. Confusion arose last month over who would be el- igible for MAS when NHS prescription charges are abolished in Scotland in 2011 {PJ, 30 August 2008, p229).
