The new body should represent pharmacists

I can scarcely credit that Robert Dewdney and Larry Goodyer (PJ, 27 September 2008, p362) should believe, as they seem to, that the Royal Pharmaceutical Society has not sought to exert influence with governments and other policy makers over the years, nor seen its role in providing new and improving services to its members. It has been doing these things ever since its foundation and, given its transformation into the new professional body, will continue to do so in the future.
