Ask About Medicines Week focus is mental health

Mental health is the focus of Ask About Medicines Week 2008,which runs from 3-7 November 2008.The aim of the week is to encourage people with mental health problems to ask more questions about medicines.Joanne Shaw,chairman of the Ask About Medicines campaign,said:"This year we have chosen to focus our campaign on people with mental health problems as,although medicines are commonly prescribed to treat these conditions,research shows that many medicine users are not having their say when it comes to decisions about their treatment.It is important for people to ask questions about all their medicines,,not just those prescribed for a mental health problem."
