Patient beliefs about their medicines correlate with adherence

Patient adherence to drug regimens involving inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) is correlated with their perceived benefit of the drugs.Marcel Bouvy from the SIR Institute for Pharmacy Practice and Policy,Leiden,the Netherlands,presented a study undertaken in 11 community pharmacies in the Netherlands into the perceived necessity and concerns about inhaled corticosteroid use in asthma.
