A recent survey by the Korea Metal Journal on the local makers of H-beams showed that they produced 524,800 tons of their H-beams in the January-February period this year, up 28.9% from 407,000 tons in the same period last year, while their aggregate sales of them from January to February increased 4.2% to 478,500 tons compared with the year-earlier period's 459,000 tons, boosted by strong demand for the products in the domestic market.
