In the stifling mid-day sun, I watched as the stranger that had just arrived spoke to one of the rebels, or thuwwar (revolutionaries) as they prefer to be called. Throughout the morning, the sound of gunfire had been getting louder. Sweat dripped off his dark face as they exchanged stern words before they turned towards us: "Doctors, get your things we need to leave right now." It was more of an order than a request and it did not seem like this was a subject for discussion.
