NHS reforms: Stop. Look. Listen.

It was an unprecedented move. In a carefully orchestrated briefing, the UK Prime Minister David Cameron stood alongside his sheepish-looking Secretary of State for Health, Andrew Lansley, and admitted last week that the coalition government was wrong to have "charged ahead" with their reforms of the National Health Service (NHS). Furthermore, Cameron announced that a 2-month public exercise would take place "to pause, to listen, to reflect, and to improve" Lansley's Health and Social Care Bill before it reaches its final stages in parliament in June.
