Purpose: It is generally believed that carcinoma in situ is refractory to chemotherapy but specific data are lacking to validate this. We evaluated the effect of concomitant clinical carcinoma in situ on cancer specific outcomes after neoadjuvant chemotherapy for muscle invasive bladder cancer.
