Pfizer links with Cork Institute of Technology on process safety

PHARMACEUTICALS company Pfizer and the Republic of Ireland's Cork Institute of Technology have joined forces to boost process safety education. Pfizer first approached Cork Institute of Technology's chemical engineering department in 2012, in a bid to boost process safety at the drugmaker's nearby Little Island plant. Together they examined the existing undergraduate chemical engineering degree and how it could apply to pharmaceutical manufacturing, as well as the particular needs of Little Island.
