Parameter Estimation from Hydroacoustic Sensor Array Data: Experimental Results.Final Project in Signal Processing at Linkoeping Institute of Technology

Sensor Array Processing deals with the problem of extracting information fromsimultaneous measurements of multiple sensor outputs. In the final project, hydroacoustic data collected in the Baltic Sea are investigated. Most effort is put on estimating the Direction of Arrival (DOA). Several methods are used for this estimation. The dependence of the estimation accuracy on the number of sensors and the number of snapshots is given special attention. The empirical mean-square errors are calculated, as well as the computational costs for different methods. Some comparisons between results obtained here and in theoretical studies in the literature is made.
