Synthesis of novel chiral non-racemic substituted trianglimine and trianglamine macrocycles

The synthesis of novel 27- and 30-membered macrocycles of the trianglimine and trianglamine type is described, based on a [3+3] cyclocondensation between an enantiomerically pure 1,3-diamine and aromatic dicarboxaldehydes.
