Regioselective ring opening of epoxides by nucleophiles mediated by lithium bistrifluoromethanesulfonimide

In the presence of LiNTf_2, epoxides undergo ring opening with high regioselectivity and in good yield when they are treated with nucleophiles such as amines, hydrazines and thiophenol.
