Chinese coal producer Shenhua’s moveto raise December cargo prices by Yuan 15/mt ($2.44/mt) forlong-term customers will provide support to prices forseaborne-traded Australian 5,500 kcal/kg NAR cargoes in theweeks ahead, traders said Monday.Chinese traders including some at Shenhua’sinternational trading arm were reportedly upbeat about theincrease in domestic thermal coal prices to Yuan 529/mt($86.20/mt) and 469/mt, respectively, for 5,500 and 5,000kcal/kg NAR material on a FOB Qinhuangdao basis, includingChinese 17% VAT.
