US polypropylene export pricing rose $66-$88/mt since mid-December, with demand on the domestic side fueling the increase, sources said. Homopolymer injection export assessments on Wednesday registered a $66/mt hike since December 16 to $1,367-$1,389/mt (62-63 cents/lb) FAS Houston; co-polymer rose $88/mt for the period to $1,411-$1,433/mt (64-65 cents/lb) FAS Houston. Platts suspended weekly Americas assessments for the final two weeks of 2015 in observance of end-of-year holidays. Trading levels for homopolymer product were heard in the 59-60 cent/lb range for railcar product, while trading levels for co-polymer product were in the 61-62 cents/lb rail-car basis. Rail-car pricing is exclusive of costs associated with bagging and transportation to port.
