US polypropylene producers and distributors continued to hope for a rebound in demand in April after back-to-back “rough” months, sources said this week. The expectations were fueled by the fact that most in the market projected contract prices to decrease 6-10 cents/lb on the back of weaker feedstock propylene. A double-digit downward movement was likely to stimulate buyers, many of whom canceled or pushed back orders in March, back into the market, sources said.
