For April, ethylene contract prices for the Brazilian domestic market were at $1,717/mt FOB, or in the local currency, at Reals3,083/mt FOB, said a source at producer Braskem. Ethylene contract prices in Brazil saw a jump of 11.67% ($117/mt) for April following European contract prices that went up Eur86/mt in March, reaching levels of Eur1,305/mt FD NWE. In Brazil, ethylene contract prices have a formula attached to the European contract price movements with a month lag.
