Sydney—InterOil has closed a revised deal with French oil and gas company Total for the sale of a smaller stake in Papua New Guinea’s Elk-Antelope gas field. Under the new agreement, Total has acquired a gross 40.1% interest in the PRL 15 permit which covers the field, US-listed InterOil said Wednesday. The stake to be acquired has been reduced from the 61.3% which Total originally agreed to purchase in December 2013.
