摘要

New York—Energy Transfer Partners Monday said it had enough shipper interest to increase the capacity of its planned Dakota Access Pipeline, despite potentially bringing takeaway capacity over anticipated production levels in the Williston Basin. Plans for the 1,100-mile DAPL were first announced in June with an initial capacity of 320,000 b/d, but ETP has precedent agreements that support an expansion to “in excess of 450,000 b/d,” the company said in a statement. The pipeline is expected to be online by end-2016. It will run from the Williston Basin to Patoka, Illinois, where it will be tied into ETP’s existing Trunkline Pipeline, which is being converted to crude from natural gas. The DAPL does not yet have any state approvals from North Dakota, South Dakota and Iowa, each of which it would pass through, and Illinois.
