India’s crude oil imports surge 23%

Mumbai—India’s crude oil imports surged 23% year on year to 16.4 million mt, or an average of 4.3 million b/d, in February as refining throughput and product exports rose. Crude imports were also 6% higher over January’s imports of 15.5 million mt, provisional data on the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell website showed. PPAC is the research arm of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
