Iraq's Maliki looks to reassure IOCS on security

London-Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has sent one of his senior advisers to the giant Rumaila oil field in the south of the country to investigate the security situation following incidents involving workers at Baker Hughes and Schlumberger sites at the field, state television reported Wednesday. Former oil minister Thamer Ghadban will look to reassure oil companies and get them back to work, the report said.
