Liberia to offer 11 blocks in 2014 offshore round

Cape Town-Liberia is planning to offer 11 offshore exploration blocks in a new licensing round planned for launch from mid-2014, the head of the state-run oil company NOCAL Ran- dolph McClain said Tuesday. The round, which will include two ultra- deepwater concessions for the first time, will offer the licenses under the terms of a new petroleum law that is expected to be approved by next February, McClain told an industry event in Cape Town.
