Russia rules out fuel export limits, sees no threat

Moscow—Russia’s energy ministry has ruled out the introduction of export limits, or an increase in export duty on gasoline, as it currently sees no threat to fuel supplies to domestic users. Since late July there have been concerns about a potential fuel deficit on the Russian market, with wholesale prices for exchangetraded fuel rising, underpinned by increasing exports, reduced imports from Belarus and maintenance work at refineries.
