US degree days indicator through September 15

New York — The degree days indicator for US heating oil demand so far this heating season (through September 15) was 65.35% greater than the corresponding period of the last season and 46.91% greater than normal. The indicator is comprised of the average degree days for 18 geographically representative US cities, weighted to reflect the cities’ relative consumption of home heating oil.
